Welcome to Fisherton Street 👋
Welcome, and thank you for choosing Fisherton Street. We hope you have a wonderful stay. This guide has everything you need to feel at home during your time with us, from working the heating to our favourite local spots. If you have any questions at all, just get in touch, we are always happy to help.
Getting In 🔑
The apartment is accessed via a private courtyard entrance rather than directly from the main street, so please follow these directions. Walk along Fisherton Street and look for the Summerlock Mews sign. Walk under the sign, and you will see a green door on your right, this leads to the art studio and is not your entrance. Immediately after the art studio, turn right and you will see a second green door, this is the entrance to the apartment.
Your key safe code is included in your check-in email, sent a few days before arrival. Open the SECURA key safe next to the second green door. Inside you will find a blue key, which opens the main building door, and a black key fob, which opens the apartment door. To unlock the apartment, hold the black key fob near the Yale smart lock where it reads CARD. You will hear a click confirming it is unlocked. Turn the latch and push the door open. Please ensure all doors are securely locked behind you whenever you leave.

Heating 🔥
The apartment has Worcester Bosch central heating.
The easiest method is the Bosch EasyControl thermostat, located in the rear bedroom. Touch the screen to wake it up and press + or − to set your desired temperature. The boiler will fire up automatically and heat the apartment to your chosen level.
Alternatively, the boiler is located in the cupboard in the rear bedroom, accessed via the middle right cupboard door. Press the heating button and select your desired temperature.
Each radiator also has a dial on the side. Twist it to control the heat in that room independently: 0 is off, 1 to 2 is low background heat, 3 to 4 is comfortable warmth, and 5 is maximum. Please allow 15 to 20 minutes for the radiators to reach your set temperature. Please turn the thermostat down and radiators to 0 when leaving the property.
Television 📺
This is a Hisense 4K Smart TV. Press the Power button on the remote to turn the TV on and off. For live TV, press HOME, select Live TV and press OK, then use CH+ and CH− to change channels, or type a channel number directly. Use VOL+ and VOL− to adjust the volume and MUTE to silence. The remote has dedicated buttons for Netflix, YouTube and Disney+, simply press to launch and sign in with your own account. For other apps, press HOME and select the app. Please sign out of all personal accounts before checkout. Press SOURCE to switch between HDMI inputs. Press the microphone button for Alexa or VIDAA voice control. If the remote stops working, point it directly at the bottom centre of the TV screen within 5 metres, or replace the batteries (2 x AAA).
Hob 🍳
Please note the surface gets very hot during use. Do not touch the glass until the heat indicator light has gone out completely.
To start, hold the Power button for 2 to 3 seconds. Touch the zone you wish to use and set the power level using + and − (1 to 9). As a guide: 1 to 2 for warming, 3 to 4 for simmering, 5 to 6 for cooking, 7 to 8 for fast frying, and 9 for a rapid boil. To turn off, hold the Power button for 2 to 3 seconds. Always use flat-bottomed pans and never drag them across the surface.
Oven 🔥
The left dial selects your cooking function. Fan provides even all-round heat, ideal for most everyday cooking. Top and Bottom is traditional cooking, great for roasts. Grill is for browning and toasting. Turbo Grill combines grill and fan, perfect for meat. ECO is energy saving for lighter meals. The right dial sets your desired temperature. Twist the minute minder dial to set a countdown timer. The oven light will come on automatically during cooking. Please always ensure both dials are returned to the off position after use.
Coffee Machine ☕
A Nespresso machine is provided, with pods in the kitchen. To make a coffee, fill the water tank with fresh cold water and click it back into place firmly. Plug the machine in and press the ON button, then wait approximately 25 seconds for it to heat up (the light will stop flashing when ready). Place a Nespresso capsule into the slot at the top and close the lever firmly. Place your cup under the coffee spout and press Espresso for a short, strong coffee (40ml) or Lungo for a longer coffee (110ml). The machine automatically collects used capsules, please empty the container when full. The machine switches itself off after 9 minutes of inactivity. For larger mugs, fold the drip tray upward to make more room.
Washing Machine 🧺
A Hoover washer dryer is available for your use, which can wash up to 8kg and dry up to 5kg.
To wash:
Load laundry into the drum and close the door firmly.
Pull out the detergent drawer and add detergent to compartment 2 (main wash). Add softener to compartment 8 if desired.
Turn the programme dial to your chosen wash cycle (Cotton for everyday items, Synthetics for delicates).
Select your temperature if needed.
Press Start/Pause to begin. The door locked light will illuminate.
To dry after washing:
Once the wash has finished, select your drying level on the dial.
Press Start/Pause to begin the drying cycle.
When finished, return the dial to OFF.
Please do not dry rubber, plastic or waterproof items. Never open the door while the drum is running or water is visible. Remove laundry promptly after drying to avoid creasing. Full manufacturer instructions are available here: https://service.hoover.co.uk/media/22zp5ghg/wdyn854d-pdf.pdf
Property Notes 🏠
You have access to the entire apartment. Please note the building retains its original period character, and some traffic noise from Fisherton Street may be audible during busier times. Double-glazed windows help with this, and earplugs are provided as a thoughtful extra.
Bins & Recycling 🗑️
The bins are located outside the green building door. The blue bin is for recycling, place clean and dry paper, cardboard, plastic bottles, tins, cans and cartons here. The black bin is for general waste. The glass recycling container is for bottles and glass items. If any of the bins are full, please leave your bags neatly to the side and we will take care of the rest.
House Rules 🏡
No smoking inside the apartment.
No pets at this property.
No parties or events.
Quiet hours 22:00 to 08:00.
Maximum occupancy 4 guests.
Please treat the property with care and respect, as you would your own home.
Safety & Emergencies 🚨
In the event of a fire or emergency, alert everyone immediately by shouting to wake and warn all occupants. Feel the door before opening; if it is hot, do not open it. Stay low if there is smoke, as the air is cleaner closer to the floor. The primary exit is the front door, close doors behind you as you leave but do not lock them. If the front door route is blocked, all rooms have large sash windows which can be used to escape: slide the lower window panel up approximately 3 inches, push the silver safety mechanisms on both sides inward to release the tilt lock, tilt the window toward you to fully open it, and exit feet first. Help children or elderly guests first, lower yourself by your hands to reduce the drop, ensure the ground is clear, then drop. Assemble on the pavement outside on Fisherton Street and wait there. Call 999 once safely outside. Do not re-enter for any reason. Smoke detectors are fitted throughout, please never tamper with them.
Emergency: 999. Non-emergency police: 101. NHS advice: 111.
